BECOME A DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION ADVOCATE IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Participating in a drug take-back program inside or outside of your store promotes customer loyalty, public health and safety, environmental health, demonstrates community leadership and more.
Here are ways to participate:
- Sponsor a drug take-back receptacle at a police station. Connect with your local law enforcement to create a partnership in reducing diversion.
- Create leaflets to hand out to your patients that include the police precinct's address and instructions on properly disposing medications there.
BENEFITS:
- You do not need to be certified by the DEA as a drug take-back collector.
- You are not responsible for disposing the prescription drugs.
- It's a quick and efficient way to communicate to the community the importance of properly disposing medications.
- Positions you as a advocate for this movement in the community.
