A: Health Mart brand products cover the 11 categories that are most important to your customers, such as diabetes care, analgesics, digestive care, upper respiratory care and vitamins with Sunmark brand products available where ever Health Mart brand products are not represented in a specific category. 

 

Q: Why should I carry Health Mart Brand Products?

A: As with many of the other benefits you enjoy as a Health Mart franchisee, the Health Mart private label has the added marketing power that the Health Mart brand brings. The Health Mart name gives your customer the confidence that their trusted pharmacist is not just at the counter, but with them as they make their selection at the shelf. With Health Mart brand products, you'll continue to deliver the high-quality, personalized service your customers expect from Health Mart stores.

Q: What if I want to offer both Health Mart and Sunmark products in my store?

A: Health Mart stores are required to purchase 85% of the private-label products from McKesson. If a Health Mart branded product is shown in the FrontEdge planogram you choose to use for a particular category, then you, the Health Mart franchisee, must carry 100% of the Health Mart branded products in that planogram. Sunmark will be available where Health Mart brand products are not represented in a specific category. With Health Mart brand products, you can continue to deliver the high-quality, personalized service that your customers expect from Health Mart stores.

 

Q: Are Health Mart brand products covered by State Medicaid?

A: A limited number of Health Mart brand items may be covered by Medicaid, subject to approval by CMS and each state. All approved covered items are listed in the CMS and First DataBank systems.

 

Q: Why can't I view or order Health Mart brand products on McKesson ConnectSM?

A: This may happen in some cases when ever new customers join as Health Mart franchisees. As part of the on boarding process your store has to be identified as a Health Mart store in all of our internal systems and there could be short lag in between that could cause this problem. If that is the case, contact your McKesson Sales Manager or Call 855.HLT.MART (855.458.4678) for assistance.

 

Q: What is the Health Mart Vitamin Finder and how can I benefit from it?

A: The Health Mart Vitamin Finder is an internet-based, personalized, wellness-driven vitamin-recommendation tool that helps to increase sales and strengthens your customers' loyalty to Health Mart brand vitamins. A link to the tool is available at healthmart.com and point of purchase materials help to build shopper awareness of the website.

 

Q: Why do certain Health Mart brand products have a MOQ requirement?

A: McKesson implemented MOQ requirements to increase ordering efficiency and to help with inventory management. This can result in improved labor productivity and maximized front end profits for Health Mart stores. 

 

Q: How should I reset my POS system to handle the Health Mart brand items with MOQ requirements?

A: You'll need to have an understanding of how your POS system handles ordering and inventory management.
