HELP PREVENT DRUG ABUSE
You can play an important role in helping to curb and prevent drug abuse. From within your store, you can educate your patients on the importance of properly disposing prescription drugs and help medicine available for diversion. Here are some resources to help:

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
1. Counsel patients on safe medication storage dispose.
2. Educate parents on the risks and warning signs for teen drug use.
3. Give drug abuse prevention presentations in your community.
OUTSIDE OF THE PHARMACY:
Get Involved in Your Community! Considering partnering with local community groups to promote safe medication practices in your community. The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids has a variety of resources your pharmacy team can share with parents/caregivers at community events or in the pharmacy.
