STAY INFORMED

In the United States alone, more than 15 million people abuse prescription drugs.1 It has become an epidemic affecting large segments of the population from children to the elderly. In order to combat it and aid in the prevention of drug abuse, it must be addressed not only within federal and state legislature, but also within the private sector. The good news is that public awareness is growing rapidly. The DEA has set records at their drug take-back events this year with the most unused prescription drugs being turned in since the start of the events.2

Below are links to McKesson initiatives and white paper, as well as highlights from the latest headlines as they relate to the epidemic and prevention. Check back often in order to stay informed on the latest in the fight against opioid diversion and abuse.
