Phone On-hold Messaging

Promote your pharmacy while you have your patients attention when they’re waiting to speak to a technician. On-hold messaging is a four-minute rotation of advertising messages, separated by short music breaks. Programming also includes health-promotion messages that reinforce your focus on wellness.

It features your pharmacy services, the Health Mart brand and the products you carry. It's a subtle and effective way to promote and remind customers of your patient-care services like MTM, diabetes management and compounding.

Ads for your pharmacy are written and produced by seasoned announcers. Talk to the experts about language options too.

On-hold messaging is easy to setup and requires no in-store programming. Simply plug in the box.

  1. Install: Plug in the power cord.
  2. Plug the audio cable into the "MOH" jack in your phone system.
  3. Turn it on.

Set the Volume:

  1. Call your store and have someone there put you on hold.
  2. Adjust the volume control on the front of the unit.
  3. Use the "push to monitor" button on the top to turn the internal speaker on/off.

TROUBLESHOOTING :

I can't find the MOH or MUSIC plug:

  • If all of your phones look alike, they are probably a system. Look for a box where all are connected. Look for the MOH or MUSIC jack on this box. On some systems, the jack is located behind the front or side panel.
  • Plug in your unit there. Then call the store to adjust the volume as described above.

I hear two beeps when I'm on hold:

  • You probably have a Norstar/Meridian phone system, which has no MOH jack. Call your phone-service vendor. They can hook it up quickly.

Change Your Monthly Ads:

  • Your system is pre-loaded with 12 months of messages.  Program 1 is January. Program 2 is February and so on.

Note:  Program ALL plays the messages for all 12 months, in order. Do not activate this.

To begin messages for a month, push the red button on the front of the unit. The new month's messages will begin immediately.
